Is it normal that my vagina smells...

My vagina smells but not like a horrible smell just like a weird not recognizable smell. But I don't think most women have this smell. It kinda smells like a fishy smell but not really terrible. But it's kinda embarrassing for me and I don't know if its normal. Please help me!

Unrecognisable smells are kinda impossible to describe over the internet.

Fishy smell but not really terrible sounds fairly normal though. Have you ever smelt another vagina? You may be worrying about nothing.

Like many questions of this nature asked here, when in doubt, consult a doctor. We can't smell your vagina through the screen (thank god) so aren't really able to definitively say if it smells normal or not.

Here's a useful little article I found with the help of Google:

I'm sorry but I laughed my head off at "We can't smell your vagina through the screen (thank god)".

What a disgusting question. As though she "has smelt another vagina" Since it is so normal for women just to go up to one another and ask "Hey can I smell your snatch I think mine smells fishy?

        Ha WordWizard The Oversensitive :)

My question was more rhetorical, to illustrate the point that since, as you say, most women don't go up to one another and ask "hey can I smell your vagina?", the OP doesn't necessarily have much of an idea as to what a normal vagina smell is. Therefore she may be worrying about nothing.

But if I hadn't been rhetorical, you know some women engage in sexual activity with other women and that typically involves vaginas right?

That means you are assuming OP is gay and she never mentioned anything about that!

Are you a troll or mentally challenged? :/

If I hadn't meant it rhetorically, the question would only be an assumption that the OP may have smelt another vagina. I was just providing you with a conventional scenario in which a woman might smell another woman's vagina without it involving 'going up to one another and asking "Hey can I smell your snatch I think mine smells fishy'. Understand?

            Anyway, moving on...

I was just saying the thought of OP smelling another females vagina is ridiculous.

Every vagina has it's own distinctive smell.
BUT if it smells fishy, it can be a huge sign of bacterial vaginosis. It depends if there's any other symptoms? And has it always smelt that way?

Well I don't think a normal vagina smells fishy, but I haven't really gone around smelling other people's.. XD

Bacterial vaginosis is what it sounds like. Healthy vaginas shouldn't really smell of anything.

Actually healthy vaginas still smell to a certain degree. It's natural. I wouldn't be so quick to diagnose BV.

It's true, vaginas have a natural odour. But it's not a bad smell, and it's definitely not supposed to be fishy unless you never wash.

You're right, that's why I said "shouldn't really". There's a faint smell, I don't think it should be toooooo strong.

If it doesn't smell terrible, then it's probably fine. Most vaginas smell different. I don't like my smell, and I've been checked for infection. My bf likes it, I don't think women were meant to like it...

If it smells that bad it might be a Yeast infection. ( I do not know why they say yeast infection since you are not cooking bread) However this is easily fixed if you buy some vagisal.

It's called a yeast infection because it is an infection of yeast.

I was making a sort of making a joke since you use yeast to make bread rise.

Smellovision is yet to be invented, thankfully. So we can't accurately tell you if it has a "normal" smell. All vulvas have a natural smell, but usually a vulva shouldn't be "fishy". Fishiness usually means an infection. If you want to get an accurate diagnoses, get a appointment with a Gynocologist (I know it's spelled wrong).

Sounds normal, but if you are really concerned, see a doctor to check for normal infections

I'd be more concerned with the fact that it has a nose.
