Is it normal that my threadworms won't go away?

For the last couple of years on and off, i've had threadworms (pinworms) and I just want them to go, I can't cope anymore. They make sleeping impossible due to the itching, and it prevents me from being close with guys. I've taken OVEX about 4 times before, they always come back after a few months. Does anyone have any cures for me?!

  • Aww dude, I just feel so sorry for you. I've never heard of these before so I just had a look on wiki . I can't believe these thing exist! Anyway I read that eggs can become airborne on dust particles even from moving things around like shaking bedsheets. Maybe the next time you get treated for it you should wash EVERYTHING. Maybe something like this is causing them to return? I would DEFINITELY go and see your doctor. It's not something you have to live with.

I believe Vermox, or the generic equivalent is over the counter now. Take that, follow directions and take it until you feel 'not contaminated.' Also, pumpkin seeds are rumored to be a continual preventative measure for threadworms. Eat lostsa pumpkin seeds every day. Threadworm eggs can be air borne, they are incredibly hard to beat. That fact can switch your OCD button on. Oh, and wash sheets every night. Good luck. You'll get over it, I'm sure.

You need to see a doctor and tell them that the infection keeps coming back.
