Is it normal that my thoughts repeat the same sentence over and over?

Okay, context. This isn't something that's literally always happening. I'm not crazy, or, at least I don't think I am. Anyway, this usually happens when I'm playing a game or something that requires a degree of focus, and my brain just seems to get stuck on one sentence or phrase. Maybe it's because I get mentally worn out, but I'm no expert. Does this happen to other people?

Happens to me a lot but about a lot of internal stuff. like "whats wrong with you whats wrong with you whats wrong with you" or like "liar liar liar" like as if another voice is in my head? I swear its not schizophrenia, however I believe strongly that I have OCD and you may have mild OCD? As long as it's not affecting your mental health I think it should be fine.

  • I do this too, I call them mantras

They're just phrases that have meaning to me that get brought to the surface when making decisions

They usually repeat in my thoughts until I memorize the feeling they have and hold it until I'm done with whatever

I dont have any known mental issues , but this is something that my mind does. I repeatedly think about a sentance or a word over and over again and sometimes it annoys me so much

It happens to me too, but I’m autistic and perseverative thoughts are just what comes with that. I don’t know if it’s weird for a neurotypical to do it, I think most people would say it isn’t normal.
