Is it normal that my skin won't clear up??

Ok, I've been having acne problems for half a year now. Only on my cheeks, nowhere else. I started messing and messing with my face, probably due to stress from what was going on at the time, but I just kept messing and messing with my face! It was like a habit for some reason. Well the habit resulted in acne spots on both cheeks that won't go away! It's irritating. Plus, I can't find the right shade of foundation to cover it up! And also, my dad gave me desoximetasone cream which reduces the redness and swelling that pimples have to offer....but it does absolutely NOTHING to the spots that have been there. I need serious help because NOTHING is working!

Some people get bad acne. Messing with your face or picking at it will only make it worse as I'm sure you have already learned. What you eat and drink can also affect it.

    Go to a dermatologist.

Go see a dermatologist. I've had a similar problem to you but mine was way worse. Everyone told me it had to do with my diet and they even recommended skin products. People also said that if I waited a few years, all my acne would go away but that could also cause acne scars. I've tried many acne skin products and NONE of them worked. It only irritated my skin and caused more acne. I also tried many other remedies like putting toothpaste on my acne, etc. I also wasn't able to cover my face because i could not find foundation that matched my skin tone but I did see a dermatologist and they found something that worked on me.

It doesn't matter if your situation is not as bad but I think a dermatologist would be the best solution.

Try to improve your diet. Get tested for Celiac disease - skin problems can be the first sign. Try tea tree oil. White vinegar. Try Aveeno acne washes and moisturizers as they tend to clear up the dark scars. Also vitamin C cream helped me. Avalon Organic Vitamin C. Just a little time in the sun can be helpful.

Woah first deep breaths. Skin itself is very slow at healing I don't have acne or pimples but I do have mosquito bite scars that after 17 years now they are disappearing. Sounds like you have a minor skin/acne infection, on a regular basis wash your face gently but also throughly. I'm no expert but cutting the high fat and greasy foods can help reduce the natural oils your face makes that can add to the acne. Also asking a dermatologists opinion will help. It's often how erratated the area is, the diet, and also what psychologically how you feel about yourself.

Acne is almost always hormonal. Don't use harsh products cause it will cause more harm. Ask your deem or doctor to check your hormones s and see if you maybe could have them adjusted.
