My sister is 32 and she has 4 kids she smokes pot with her 15 and 17 year old sons while her other too kids (12, 13) have to be in the same house as them and witness them high all the time. Im worried for the other kids who arnt into drugs yet I want to save them from it but I would never rat on my sis....
That's fucked up. I wouldn't want my kids smoking anything until they are at least 18. That shit is illegal too. You can get a prescription for marijuanna until you're 18. THEN we can smoke together, but until then, I would rather them not even know that I am smoking pot.
Awesome. I smoke it, but I would not want my kids smoking it until they are adults and mature enough to make that decision for themselves. Til then, they won't know that I smoke it.
It doesn't matter. Neither of them are adults. Whether or not to smoke pot is an ADULT decision, and since they are not adults, their Mom should not be providing them with the pot or endorsing their decisions considering that they are too young to properly make them.
What an irresponsible bitch! Not trying to be judgmental but WTF is wrong with people these days that they think that is acceptable parenting?!??! Bloody hell! I can't believe this surprised me though with the way the world is going... Maybe call the authorities, it wouldn't be 'ratting' out your sister so much as SAVING those kids...
Ok I realise its not good parenting to smoke pot with your kids, but do you guys really think her children are better off in the foster system?
Maybe this is the one thing she does wrong, maybe outside of smoking with the older ones shes a perfectly capable mother.
Half of the foster parents out there are just in it for an easy paycheck, and children that go through the foster system have to deal with some fucked up families. I understand the intentions here but I would suggest the OP to strongly consider where the children will be safer.

I completely agree with you. People really need to be careful about who they decide to call social services on. I think those kids are better off with their family, foster care is bullshit and only really worth it if the kid is in a much worse place than a foster home would likely be. Makes you relaxed, calm. And 12 is a perfectly fine age to not cut themselves off of random object, so they'll live.

I could not possibly agree with Angel_in_a_Glass_Dress more. Report her to CPS immediately. Kids can smoke weed, cigarettes, whatever when THEY ARE OF AGE. Minors smoking is never cool. Perhaps this is her brand of love? She sounds like a complete moron to me.

I posted this awile ago and I relize that people don't understand the whole story, my sister has the mind of a 16 year old practically and is VERY irresponsible, her kids do smoke pot with there Stupid ass friends too, just last week the second youngest got jumped during a drug deal, I have no problem with weed but it is starting to tear apart my family and ruining there future... And I would NEVER send those kids to a foster home, the cops know my family very well already for bad thing so I would not contact them... The oldest is already in too deep to get out, but how do I help the others?!?!

Your sister is only jeopardizing her kids future. And as a mom of two I find it disgusting. Her job is SUPPOSSED to be to prepping their future. NOT TRAPPING THEM IN HER PRESENT!
Pot isn't bad. Everyone gives it a bad name. It has never killed anyone. Alcohol has but I bet you wouldn't be freaking out if she shared a beer with her kids. Having your kids exposed to it means when try are in real life situations they know how to deal with thing. If it was meth it would be a different situation.
You guys are all being really prude about this. Don't look at it as SHE got them into smoking or she makes them or whatever her kids are in High school drugs are everywhere, even if she did doesn't smoke with them that wont stop them from getting high on there own, kids are gonna do that, experiment with shit you know?
Hell that could even be a way they bond, have a nice convo over a blunt, yea nothing like it. She could be doing worse for her kids, at least shes not molesting them or drowning em in steaming hot water.
Call CPS? That a mite harsh considering it seams the kids must not care too much about, if they haven't reported it themselves.
I wouldnt report them because they could just end up in a worse enviroment. Smoking pot with your underage kids may not be the best influence but it could be way worse. I had a couple friends when I was around that age who would smoke crack with their moms. Both of those people ended up being very addicted to hard drugs at an early age. Better pot than crack.
Wouldnt you rather the kids be smoking in the safety of their home than with some weird drug dealer
It's better for them in a safe place with their mother than with dumb teenagers getting into dangerous or stupid trouble. And they're clearly old enough to decide for themselves if they want to or not. It's not like she's forcing them to. If she is that's another story. Besides weed is harmless. They just shouldn't be doing it on school nights and what not.
