Is it normal that my response to stress is to fall asleep?

Okay, i don't just fall asleep everytime i get stressed. but when i do get stressed i just want to sleep, and if i do fall asleep i'm out for a few hours at minimum, no matter what time of day.

I also feel really overwhelmed by the desire to fall asleep and never wake up. This thought never ever leaves me alone. IIN?

Wow I do the same thing. I can feel it coming and there is no way I can stay awake. Always assumed it was just me

  • I'm going to agree with them. But, you've made it in to a form of escapism; which isn't healthy.

It happens to me sometimes. It's like my body just shuts down from the stress and all I want to do is sleep. But sometimtes I'm the opposite and I can't sleep at all.

Definately normal. Whenever I'm stressed I go through exactly the same thing. Not sure about the never wake up bit but my body shuts down for a good few hours. We probably both deal with stress the same way.
