Is it normal that my phone shows an at&t sign

Ok wait so why is it that when i land in the USA my mobile carrier changes to at&t when i have a sim inserted from a different country? Is it normal?

    It is because your telephone company has a roaming agreement with AT&T when you're in the United States. It enables you to use their network as if you were at home except you will be liable for roaming charges.

    In some countries you might find your phone will roam onto other companies as you travel within a country.

    Roaming charges are very high. It's best to turn the phone off.

      I use a prepaid line so i wouldnt be charged unless theres balance left in my phone lol but thanks :)
