Is it normal that my period is unstable?

Okay so my period is so weird. My period usually starts on the 5th day of the month (something like that) however, sometimes it starts on like the 11th day and I'm not prepared and then i get it at school and it stains my uniform and i get so embarrassed! I don't know when to track when it's coming, sometimes, it doesn't even come on a certain month which is weird, what do i do???

    You sound really young, so I'm not sure if you've ever been to a gynecologist, but yeah, slightly irregular periods are normal. Going on birth control will make your periods regular. If that's not an option for you, I'd recommend keeping tampons or pads in your purse or backpack. If that's too embarrassing for you, which if shouldn't be (but I understand that periods can be a cringy thing when you're young), there are tampon brands like U by Kotex that make really discreet, palm sized tampons that you can grab and take to the bathroom without anyone realizing.

    Don't mean to be condescending, but as I said, you sound young, so make sure you read up about TSS before using tampons.

    Ask a Dr..? Is a medical thing, that in reality can truly be as serious as pregnancy, and as minimal as your PH levels being off...
