I have really bad cramps the first day of my period, I feel nauseous, have diarehea, and can barely do anything. A couple times when I forgot to take ibuprofin, I even blacked out for a couple seconds continuously. Also the blood flow is heavy. It is weird that it is only the first day.
This used to happen to me before I got on the pill. The pill does wonders. It's not pleasant, but it is pretty common.
talk to your doctor.
if you're old enough the doc may suggest birth control pills. Not only does it help regulate your period, it can also give you lighter cramps.
wow you suffer bad... to me to judge i don't think this is normal. vie never known of anything like this. but im sure many people suffer just like you!! I recommend seeing your doctor to get some medicine for better pain relief!:)
What you've described actually really sounds like endometriosis, an excruciatingly painful condition that affects about 5 million women in the US & Canada. You should see a doctor if it really affects your life. I think some pain during period is completely normal but that much is not and a sign that something is actually wrong. For me it has never been so bad I blacked out, and don't know anyone else who has either
I have the same exact thing! I made a post like this but only got a little advice.so reading these comments actually helped me too! I suggest bed rest and a heating pad.I'm not sure why,but if I can get myself to fall asleep during a cramp or a time when I'm feeling really bad,it totally helps.
It's normal, you sound young and I've read that a period starts to regulate better after a few years, though you might need a doctor if it's that bad. You could get on the pill.
I've got the same problem.. and don't have endometriosis. Some women just have heavier flows and more unpleasant symptoms. The pill personally didn't help me.. and when I went off it, it caused a lot more problems. I also get really queasy and find it hard to move from a fetal position during that time of the month. After I had kids, it got even worse.
It's normal, totally... just f'n sucks.
Ouch :/. I've never blacked out due to the pain but I used to have bad cramps. The first two days were pretty bad and then they'd get better the third day. The fourth day it would be gone and then spontaneously come back so it's last the full seven days.
Then I had my son and got on the pill. The pill does have it's side effects, but my period is roughly 3 days long now. Minimal cramping and.................bleeding. Lol, I'm sure the guys that read this are gunna think this is gross. Oh well :}

i feel you. as IC1988 said, the pill helps. a lot.
But in the beginning i still try and stay at home to the point of shopping groceries&stuff beforehand so i don't have to leave my flat- luckily my cycle is pretty reliable.
The first two days of my period are always really heavy. Most of the time I get killer cramps where I just can't stand it :/ it happens. It's normal don't worry :)
