Is it normal that my parents think i never drank alcohol? i'm 19

I don't go out at night much, maybe 3-5 times per month. Sometimes more, but well.
I get drunk almost every time I go out, but I never told my parents about it, but I thought they would know cause dude, i'm 19.

Today they had friends over and i could hear my mum saying, literally, "She doesn't drink at all, she's such a good daughter"

I felt so bad for them, but jeesh they should know by themselves, right?

First I would like to state that if this is your biggest problem at the moment I envy you..a lot.

I don't know if you are European or american, but if you are from Europe you are most likely well within the legal drinking age and you really have nothing to hide or be ashamed of towards your parents.

I think all parents want to believe that their kid is the purest and most innocent person in the world, and they take even more pride in making all their acquaintances believe this as well.

I think its normal to drink and experiment with drugs and sex when you are young as long as you don't make it your priority.

If you are not legally allowed to drink yet you should just keep hiding it and not let it get out of hand (but that is obvious I guess)

You must never get caught. I get random calls from my parents, so if anyones in denial about me being a drunk, it's me lol

Some parents love living in denial. I got away with a lot because no one assumed I would do "bad" things.
