My parents arent really too fond of my significant other...but i dont value their opinion much bc they have yet to really actually have a conversation with him & its been a year & 2 weeks.
I want them to get along though, its super stressful.
Has he given them a reason? Maybe they see something you haven't. Love can be blind
Hmmm, wait until it has been a year, five weeks, and two days, and then ask your parents about him again. They might just think you are rushing things a bit if it has only been a year and two weeks. And no, it is not normal. All parents should be willing to sacrifice their daughter to the first wanker that comes along.
why dont you all have dinner together and that will give them all a chance to get to know each other. i know its hard and stressful but try to understand that your parents just want what is best for you and maybe they dont think your current boyfriend is the "best".
