Whenever I come home with a bad grade, or don't live up to my parent's expectations, they draw on me with highlighters to make me "more yellow".
Is this normal?

It's not normal, do they think making you look like Homer Simpson will make your grades better? XD
i would say this is not normal. some may say its a kind of abuse. i say though physically harmless it CAN scar some people mentally because it shows inferiority. i think your parents are trying to control you by drawing on you. in some locations it could fit into abuse. i recommend you don't take it that way. explain to them that you don't like it and if they don't stop there are two options; be the better person, or drop to their level.
Could be worse. My parents did luminous green. I was already labelled an eco-mentalist by friends but highlighting I supported green issues by highlighting me in green was a cruel trick!

If you're already yellow, then you might have jaundice. You should go to the doctor for that.
Does your culture/country have high educational standards? In japan there's stigma against people who don't get a good education or get into college. The show "Maison Ikkoku" is mainly about a ronin.
How long has this been going on? It sounds like abuse. You should be of age, why don't you try to put a stop to this? I understand if you're scared to stand up to them, but something has to be done!
Your parents seem uptight and to have set a too high a bar for standards. They need to understand that everyone makes mistakes. You're probably stressed out and that isn't good either.
Perhaps, you could all go in for therapy to talk out your problems or just them, because they seem to be the ones with all the problems.
"More" yellow? What, do you have jaundice or something? No, that's not normal. But it IS funny.
It'd be abnormal if they DIDN'T do this! Enjoy the special highlighter time you spend with your weird parents.
