Is it normal that my older boyfriend acts like he's my age

My boyfriend is 28. He had drug charges against him when he was 18. He didn't graduate high school, he never got his license, he lives with his mom, he only has a seasonal job, doesn't have a savings account. Basically it feels like I'm going out with a 17 year old that has gone through a lot n has wrinkles hehe. All I want to know if this is normal?? He used to be addicted to meth n he's had bad luck in life but now he's getting his GED, trying to pass his written for a license, n wants an apartment. Is it normal though that he's soo far behind??

  • Bad luck doesnt exist its your own desicions that force you into shitty positions... But yeah its normal when you turn 18 you arent given the gift of responsibilty and knowledge

Maturity is not a default feature to accompany age.

Why are you even with him if you feel this way?

I had another post, weve been through alot together helped eachother out of bad habits. His personality is great, his sense of humor, his looks, I really love him(: he makes everything better but I just get a little sad because my mom says if im gna date older men they might as well be established :/

I guess, but if you have so many nice things to say about him, why ask IIN about what to do on such a tough, and very personal decision.

None of us here actually knows this guy IRL, how the fuck can we be prime candidates to make this decision for you?
