Is it normal that my neck is extremly sore after getting a hickey

I was aat my house with my boyfriend watching Scream 3 in my room.
towards the middle of ther movie we started making out. And he started sucking on my neck which felt real good so i didnt stop him. When we were done i had gotten up and looked in the mirror and saw i had a hickey the sice of my fist and it was really painful.
I had iced it for about two days and it still hurts. I cant even move my neck .
Is it a medical problem because i dont want my mom to know.
is it normal for it to hurt that bad

    Sounds like he just went a little too crazy. I've never had a hickey that hurt to the point where I couldn't move my neck. If it continues to be sore throughout the week, I would recommend talking to the school nurse or something. Maybe your skin is a little sensitive.

    it's basically a bruise (bleeding underneath the epidural layer (your skin)) so yeah it's gunna hurt if he got you good. just wait till he gives you a hickey in the same spot while that one is still there.... AMAZING!
