Is it normal that my mother say i"m weird?

My mother everyday scold me, saying that I am weird always doing the weird thing. I feel very upset. What should I do?

    I always thought it was weird that the word "weird" was considered an insult. I would just use it to mean "out-of-the-ordinary", but even the weirdest people get defensive sometimes if you call them weird.

    Me too... My mom says I'm weird for my shyness, but isn't shyness normal? But I'm also very crazy around my best friends. I would admit that I am weird, but not in my mom's way.

        I call my Pekingese, "poopy cutie baby pie" for some reason haha so that's kind of mean. They dont know what I say.
