Is it normal that my mother is so impatient?

I am 27 years of age and my girlfriend is 21. My mother is in a rush for me to have children, like, today. I am willing to wait until I am 30 but definitely before 35. My girlfriend wants to wait at least 5 more years, which I understand and agree on. My mother is in a rush to get the grandchildren. I have a feeling that deep down inside, she wants to spoil them and just travel and show them around the world. I just think she should wait until my girlfriend and I are married and are ready for children. is it normal that she is always bringing it up?

    My mum is always asking me that question. I always answer that I'll get a baby when she retires:)

    It's completely normal that your mom wants grand kids. It wouldn't be normal if that was the reason you had kids though. Wait until you're ready.

    If she's really impatient though, you may be able to placate her if you have friends with kids that would be okay with a babysitter for a while.

    Or that could backfire horribly and make her want them more.
