Is it normal that my mother hates me

My mother hates me but loves my brother.I don't no why she hates me.I help her in her housework, doesn't disturb or irritate her.And the way my brother disturbs or irritate her, she would not say anything to him. But if I do something, I would get beatings, teasings and she would even torture me.She everytime taunts me.And whenever I help her, she had never praised me in my whole life.And I have never smiled in my life, whenever I think of smiling, my mother snatches, it means that she would taunt me or torture me.In front of my dad, she will not do anything but as soon as my dad goes for work she will start her work in taunting me and torturing me.

    I know that mothers tend to be harder on their daughters and fathers harder on their sons (seen it first hand in my own family), but this is much more like abuse. Escpecially damning is that she hides it from your dad.

    I would also say you should tell someone. But there might be problems with that. She already hides it from your dad which suggests she will simply deny that it happens and that you're lying. Which is just another way for her to put you down and belittle you. She would probably enjoy that actually as it discredits you in front of everyone else.

    I suggest getting some evidence that she can't deny. A recording either video or audio. Anything that documents what is really going on. Then when you have it, tell someone about how she is treating you.

    I hope things get better for you and you get to a point where you can smile.
