Is it normal that my month old peircing is like this?

I got my cartilage peircing done (with a peircing gun, dumb of me, I know) a month ago and there have been no crusts, swelling or redness and I was just wondering if this is awesome or if it's not healing properly. I clean it with the solution twice a day as well as an iodine-free sea salt soak every other day. When I had my eyebrow done there were crusts, minimal but there, and so yeah, is this good?

    Rolling an upper cartilage (ear, honey) peircing in their mouth? Still at this point it hurts to think of that and whotf does that anyways? And yes, peircing guns are not hollow, they leave a shredded mess (worst case shattered cartilage) which is why you need that chunk of flesh removed so it heals naturally around the stud.

    What makes someone want to do this? I think it looks gross, especially when you see someone rolling it around in their mouth!

    Lucky you! All of my piercings turned out to be infectious nightmares and to this day I have done away with them all.

    That sounds good, actually. It doesn't sound infected. If it's red or swollen, then go to a doctor.

    Hangon are you sure the ear stud or rod is actually in there? Maybe they just glued it on you and they're laughing uncontrollably behind your back?
    Go see them and and say, 'what the hell have you done to me?! I'm NOT Normal !!!!'
    Note: They may look at you weirdly, disregard this, its a conspiracy. The whole damn world is in on it.
    Other than that, I say normal. :)

        Oh wow. Thanks for that. If you could help me out a little, I didn't really see anything for alternative piercing methods. Is one supposed to do the whole lemon antiseptic, ice numbing, and sewing needle process?

          Nah, usually it's done with a small hollow needle, by hand. But when a professional does it, they can perform this quickly and cleanly. The needles are sharper than your average sewing needle, and it literally takes as long as the stupid gun thing. (I've got some experience in piercing...)
