Is it normal that my mom ignores me?

For years my mom ignores me when I ask her certain questions or ask for things. Tonight I asked her if I could go to a party while she was on the phone with a friend and before even giving it any thought ( even though she knew about it hours in advance) she put her pointer finger up to shush me and went back to her phone call. later on I asked her to talk and she just completely ignored me and was trying really hard not to look at me. I honestly feel so insignificant and I feel like she doesn't even care about my feelings. She's acting like a child even though she's the adult... IIN?

    Your mom is ashamed of something she has done. You might be the root of it. Not your fault tho. Seems she is afraid she will spill the beans

    Maybe she's trying to teach you that there's no point in trying to talk to someone who's on the phone unless it's an emergency
