my mom yells at me alot and tells me im worthless, i cry alot and cut myself. is this normal? and what should i do?

    I would also try to refrain from cutting. I have hideous scars on my arms that I hate. I almost died once seriously try to stop it now before it gets out of control and if you think you don't care about the scars now (that's what I thought at the time) you will later on in life.

    I think getting involved in a Christian community is a good idea. Toucan talk to the pastor or make friends who will really want to help you. But yeah her behavior is not normal and you don't deserve that I went through the same thing at your age. Just be strong and try to worry about what makes you happy who cares about what she thinks.

    God can not help you. God will not change your mothers behaviour. This is not normal. if you are harming yourself, you should seek help from a health professional.

    Ah, I used to cut too... Havent for a few weeks but hell the scars are not worth it... Your mum is probably depressed and has been for a while, maybe a postbirth depression? Do something to make her proud, get her a gift? emulate your love for her because she may be hurting just as much as you, hug her tight even if she struggles keep hugging her and repeat that you love her no matter what. Trust me, the people I live with are 100 times worse and I can still sweeten them up.

      Oh come on, why should this abused young person even have to speak to this abusive parent, let alone buy her gifts? She probably doesn't love her mother any more, and why should she? Her mother is a disgusting creature who doesn't deserve the title.

      Many mothers have depresssion, including post natal depression and don't treat their kids like this: she's an adult, she has a choice, children don't.

    I am so sorry your living with a lady that is called a mother . Very sad!!!! Please seek help for you first. You need to build your self esteem!! Then get your mom help! (first have someone slap some since into your mom! WTF is wrong with her!!?)

    I will pray for you. In order to get through this u need God. It sounds strange but it is true. Life can be really hard, and I am sorry for what u are going through.       Oh yeah god, if s/he cared so much s/he wouldn't let her mother abuse her, would s/he? And s/he wouldn't need to be prayed to to take care of her.

      Can you explain why christians and other religions have gods who don't do anything about bad things in the world until enough people pray about it? When does god decide h/she's had enough prayers to do something about bad things? How about people who don't get prayed for, they just stay in pain?

      People like you make me feel physically ill the way you zero in on vulnerable people with your superstitious unfounded bullshit, this is exactly how a lot of people are dragged into cults and have their heads and lives fucked over
