Is it normal that my lips look fuller in the morning?

I've noticed that most mornings when I wake up and I look into the mirror my lips look noticeably more full than the night before, and as the day progresses they deflate slightly. Does this happen to everyone? I have a feeling it has something to do with fluids pooling in my face while I'm lying down. Not only do they feel fuller in the morning but they're more firm. A few of my friends who've slept over before have noticed it as well. One of them said, "why do your lips look all huge?" LOL They're not red or irritated looking, just kinda swollen... sorta... Anyways... Is it normal?

Yes! This happens to me! And my boyfriend. I've never actually looked into it but I'd assume it's a normal part of sleep/waking up.

It happens to everyone...Could be lips, puffy eyes...Or some don't notice anything at all. When your body sleeps at night it retains water. Making you kinda plump in the mornings. That's why they tell you to wait about 30min before you shave your legs or whatever so that it gives your body time to processing all that back through your body. something, something, so that you don't get those little red bumbs on your legs or face lol... ya...But point being.. your body retains water when you sleep...making you liiiittle plump in the morning...

Your face swells when you lie down. It's normal, no need to stress.

You can keep the full look by putting irritants on your lips to make them swell, like cinnamon or hot peppers. It won't feel very nice, though.

I get the bee-stung when I wake up, too but have no explanation for it, either. I think it might be the way our lip muscles get to relax during sleep; then during the day talking and otherwise keeping our mouth closed in a more controlled way, leads to a slightly more clenched look. Or maybe it could be something to do with a difference in blood circulation in a horizontal rather than upright position (?)

I could have made a very dirty joke here, but I think I'll refrain this time because your question sounds genuine. I'm not really sure if that's normal or not really...

I believe I bite my lip but that has me just tearing it up. I also wake up with swollen lips but it's just fluid.
