Is it normal that my left hand side feels dodgy?

It's usually when i'm lying in bed - it started off with a sort of trapped nerve thing in my neck on the left hand side and now when i try to sleep i get aching shoulder, tingling numbness in my hands, pains down my left arm... i am only 19 and very healthy so it's not a stroke...!
