Is it normal that my landlord sent me a thank you card?

My landlord sent me a thank you card the other day. It basically said thanks for paying rent on time! I thought it was nice, but also kind of strange.. I mean do they typically have issues with people not paying rent on time? I've been renting this place for a litle over a year now, and I always pay it on time.. Like I said, very nice.. but very unexpected :)

    I dont have a landlord, I squat. The closest I came to a thank you card was watching a rat kill a cockroach and then offering me half of it. I respectfully declined. Silly rat.

    Our apartment complex does that often. I find it refreshing in a world of un-appreciating douche nuggets.

    In the UK it is extremely difficult to get someone out of your property even though they have stopped paying the rent. You are obviously a decent person who would never envisage not paying their rent. I'm sure your landlord is conscientious about carrying out repairs.

    Some landlords are just cool like that. My first apartment, I got a Christmas gift from my landlady there :)

    I know someone who has got a thank you card also.it's probably something they like to do and send out unlike eviction notice.: )

    Yeah. Many people can't, won't, don't pay on time.
    I imagine that, rather than just being nice, it's a stab at persuading you to pay on time next time too, since you were 'rewarded' this time.

    I had a thank you card when I moved in.
    Renters do have issues with people paying on time, which gets costly for them as they then have to go through courts. Be happy :) it's sweet!

    What world are you living in even if we weren't currently living in a recession people have problems paying rent everybody is no rich or making a million dollars
