Is it normal that my inner voice is quiet most of the time?

So, I was reading a bit of wikipedia on the Inner Voice and the Stream of Consciousness. A bit of psychology.

Well... I got worried soon as they got to something about the Inner Voice. Basically that's when you think in words. What has me concerned... more often than not I don't have anything going on in my head that I could actually put into words.

Is that normal? For your internal thoughts to be quiet most of the time? Honestly, for me, I only "hear" my own thoughts as words when I'm reading or planning what to say or something.

Anyway, here's what I was reading.

It doesn't sound like a problem necessarily, in fact being able to clear their mind is something many people strive for. It seems to come naturally to you, so some people might find you lucky in a way.

hah, I guess you might be right. Though at times it's a bit... too clear. Like, I go to do something and then get distracted and suddenly I forget what I had before.
