Is it normal that my husband is taking more than 2 month to get a job?

Me, my husband and my 3 year old girl have just moved to another country. We arrived in september and since then he acts as if he REALY is looking for work. I know that it's geting realy hard to find a job but i don't think he is doing the best he can to get one.
Can't he see that we have bills to pay?
We decided that he would get a job while i would take care of documents related with our daughter and everything else, but now i need to leave it and start to look for a job because he's not doing what he should! Is it normal?

I feel the same about my husband but the worst thing you can do is critisise him for it because he will act out and not look for a job to simply spite you.
Go out and get a paper for the vacant adverts and make a call infront of him so that he knows that if he doesn't get a job before you do, he will be stuck at home being a house husband. That should be motivation enough for him.
You being the breadwinner will probably hurt his ego alot and this will motivate him to change.

But that is exactly what he wants do to do. It's not the first time we've moved to britain and it is allways like this. he stays at home at the computer and does not care. He does not like to work. I thought this time was going to be diferent because of our child but he is still the same. It's not fair on me.

no offense he sounds like a bit of a loser. Get him on the dole and get yourself a job- but this is definitly NOT normal.

I'm in California (USA) and I've been looking for a steady job since 2009 (3 years now) and I still can't find shit. I'm living with family in the dining room, and on food stamps just to survive and stay off the street. I can build and repair computers, but can't even land a job at WalMart. I try to make money by fixing computers from home, but nobody has money and they're all flakes. If I advertize like crazy (online, on light poles around my city, in parking lots, holding a big sign, handing out business cards, I can maybe pull in $200 in an entire month. Things are bad.
