Is it normal that my hands fall asleep while receiving oral sex?

Every time that I've gotten eaten out, my hands have fallen asleep. It's the same feeling that you may get in your foot after you've been sitting on it for too long. Is this normal?

    My wife has actually almost blacked out so I'd think this would be normal.
