Is it normal that my hairstylists piss me off???

Well of course they are going to ask you how you are doing and so on... They are just being nice. But I really understand how you feel, my hairstylist will go smoke at least twice while doing my hair and not wash her hands. When she goes to wash my hair i smell a smoke smell and I feel like it's making my hair dirty. Also I use a box of color from the store because my hair is really dark brown (and they insist they can't lighten it without bleach... Which is bullshit but w/e-) so I dye my base from the box then I'll get it cut or highlights at the salon etc. And one time another hairstylist asked why I use a box and my hairdresser said it's because she can't afford it!!! I was so offended because that is rude and also not true but even if it was how do you just say that!? Also she thinks she is better than me because she is Russian (I'm Ukrainian) etc the list goes on.... She doesn't even listen either. I said to trim it (1 inch maximum) and she took at least 3 inches all around and layered it taking a 4 or 5 in some spots. It was horrible! She never listens about how I say to style it either. The only reason I keep going there is cause believe it or not other places are much much worse!!!

I love the girl who does my hair! But I honestly believe that it's just the salon you're going to.
I mean yeah, pretty much every salon I've been to, the stylists do talk a lot, I'll be the first one to tell you that. I used to take cosmetology, and every girl in my class would talk our clients ears off. Sometimes it helps make it go faster. Plus, it's nice to build a bond with your client, and it helps them to come back.
But picking their noses???? Have you actually seen them doing this? I really think you need to get out of that salon, and search HARDER for a new one, because I know a lot of salons that are certainly not that bad.

When I get my hair cut (which is nearly never because I dont trust people to do a good job at it) I want them to be quiet nothing irritates me more than when someone talks to me when I dont want them to.

I like talking to my stylist. She is hilarious and very sanitary. I LOVE her and as long as she is working, i will never go to a different stylist EVER!

I fart the whole time so my stylist doesn't talk much since I catch her holding her breath

I guess you understand what it is you want from a hairstylist, Miss. There is certainly nothing wrong with having an opinion about matters that effect you directly.
