Is it normal that my guy friend asked to me send him my pic

My guy friend and I have been friends since primary school, lost touch for a while then we recently started talking after like 10 years, we're now both at uni. He keeps asking me why I'm single and if it is by choice that I am. He keeps sending me messages friendly stuff but today after texting and talking about football he randomly asked me to send him a pic of me of which I did just a face picture nothing slutty because I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but I just found this unsettling. Is it normal

    He wants to see what you look like now? Because it's been ten years since he's seen you maybe? lol You're way over thinking this! If he asked for a nudy pic then be scared! I have most of my old friends of facebook, but if they didn't have a profile pic I'd totally ask to see! I mean.. I knew what they looked like when they were so much smaller, so hell yeah i'd be curious what they look like now.

    He wants to see what you look now? Have you two seen each other? Do you not care or not curious to know what he looks like grown up either? I am a guy and if I haven't seen a friend in some years, I would like to see what they look like out of being curious.

      We speak on Facebook, whatsapp etc, I just found it odd him randomly asking me to send him a pic. He knows what I look like.

        He probably thought there was a chance you would "get it" and send him a pic of you naked. He didn't want to say it outright because you might be offended.

        Cause like, us guys know, a lot of girls secretly have naked pics of them on their phones.

        Does he want a picture of you to put as on his phone contact of you? Did you ask him why he wanted the picture? I do not do the whole Facebook thing so I am unaware of that whole scene.
