Is it normal that my grandmother is such a bitch?

For the past 3 years I noticed that my grandmother who used to be nice and kind is now nothing but always bitching asshole.
I can't even remember the last time I had normal conversation without her snapping and insulting everything that breathes.

You can literally just ask simple question like "Where are you going tomorrow?" and she'll either ignore you completely or yell at you to shut up. She also became very conceited and thinks she's always right and doesn't ever do anything wrong even if she does. She thinks everyone else is stupid and useless, then complains about not getting any help.
She is also the one who created 90% of conflicts in our family by simply being bitchy and insulting everyone.

Is it normal that she became this just like that?

    I mean if you wanted to buy a new car and it was raining, you wouldn't tie a ribbon around the old oak tree, if you know what I mean.

    That's why you should move out and live on your own. Fucking relatives can be such a pain in the ass to live with.

        Hmmm, sorry to hear that. Well then you have to make the best of your situation and try to get along with her until you're able to live on your own.

        I'm also not a fan of the idea of young people having to work to live independently too soon. You should be able to enjoy your youth till around 25, then work. Though some life circumstances can force you to start sooner.

    My grandma is like that too, she pretends to be so nice in front of strangers and people at church etc and everyone loves her but my family knows the truth, she is a mean old biddy. I promise you she's not sick or anything like that, she's in great shape, and she constantly calls me Fat (I'm not fat but also not skinny) and she makes you feel like you can't do anything you want to do because you have to always please her. For example i want to dye my hair something other than my natural brown and i know she'll freak out about it, and I just dont want to hear it, And hated when I cut it short years ago, now it's really long and curly and with some layers and side bangs and she tells me she hates it all the time. Keep in mind im 22 and living on my own and have a job and am doing well in my life. She shouldnt have a say in my life but she just has this horrible hold on everyone.You just cant tell her anything cause she just turns it around on you so you just keep your mouth shut since you don't want to hear it and be belittled.

    yep. my grandma's a complete jerk she'll never stop nagging at me for everything even if im innocent she tries to make me be the one to blame.

    It sounds like she has dementia or something. It's sad that you would just pass off her sudden change in behavior by calling her a bitch rather than getting her some help,.

      She's not ill and she doesn't need help. She's also pretty young.
      She's actually completely normal most of the time but she can get angry by anything stupid and that's what my mother and uncle say too.

    Until Now, I never love my Grandma, She Ruined My Life Until I Moved In to her House. She Doesn't Understand me And I FUCKING HATE HER, If she knew this was here I Wouldn't Say Sorry, I Don't Give a Damn About That old BITCH.

    My one grandma passed away, but she was pretty old and only had an old phone. She TRUELY was a grandmother.

    My other grandma takes the fun out of every thing, but she has a modern every day phone, but she was a just like your grandmother, so this is pretty normal I guess.

    My last one is an overprotective one with a Nokia-Windows phone so she is old and isn't to bad, unless you argue with her.

    does she have a male companion? Did her husband (grandpa)die within that time frame since shes been a bitch

    As a general rule, older people have special rights to be mean to others, just sayin

    Try getting her a cat, or a kitten. I know alot of grandmas who LOVE kittens for some reason

      No my grandpa is alive and healthy.
      And I'd actually like to have a cat myself (we live toghether) but we live in flat and she doesn't want any animals here.

    My grandma is plain mean, she's tries to he sweet but she's so blunt that its incredibly mean. I love her but man, she's so snooty.x
