Okay, one day we were walking on the street and she asked me to tie her shoes. I thought it was weird that she asked me that since she could just do it herself. So i refused cause i felt like she was doing it to have control over me or something like that. But when i refused she wasn't mad she even looked kind of embarrassed, so that made me think that tying her shoes meant something else to her. So my question is why would a girl ask you to tie her shoes?

    My best guess is she thought it would be cute if you tied her shoes for her, but by rejecting her, you made her look foolish for asking.

      I agree. It's a weird thing to ask. I don't get all these people going "just tie her shoes, GOSH". It's a really odd thing to ask somebody, so it's natural to question it if you get asked. If I asked my fiancé to tie my shoes for me, he'd be like "What? No. Do it yourself", because I'm not a CHILD.

    She was probably embarrassed because she realized she made you feel that way. She probably realized she sounded rude. Does she have back problems or something??

    or maybe she didn't want to bend down and have people stare at her undies if she had ugly undies on..or her jeans were too tight so she knew her crack would show or maybe her pants would rip...or she had a short skirt on and didn't want her booty showing...or she didn't want to bend over b/c there might have been a creep nearby.

      I know really man my freinds make us do that and like all of us will bend down to do it. my best freind made me tie her shoes but it was,me and a guy freind and we kind of followanything she asks. Dont question just do it. maybe she wants to be babied becuase she is your girlfreind and things like that make her feel speciel. Not a big deal just tie her shoes. Lol honestly this happens with super pretty girls tooits kind of like asking a boy to brush her hiar. just do it she might be trying be cute since your her boyfreind.

    Okay, this is a little embarrassing. I like when a guy is eager to pamper me and make me feel very special. I think your GF was, indeed, testing you. I could be wrong, of course, but if I am correct, then you disappointed her. Doing something for her that is very out of the ordinary, and humbling yourself (kneeling) before her, would definitely have scored a lot of points -- at least that's what I would have felt. Only I don't have enough
    "nerve" to ask a guy to do that. Also, I think she may have been fishing for compliments about her shoes -- were they new? Guys never notice things like that. Just sayin'.
