Is it normal that my girlfriend got angry with this?

Right so the story is i was seeing this girl but she never wanted to be a couple and I felt like I was getting strung along. I decided to go to Africa for 3 months to clear my head and start afresh in a way.

The night before i left i asked her if she wanted to ever be with me, to finally ask if she wanted me, she said no. While away I got close to another girl and had a holiday relationship with her. She was from Australia I'm from England so I knew it was going to end with the holiday.

When I got back to England the girl i had been seeing before I left went absolutely mad with me for being with this Australian girl. I thought that as she had concisely said she didn't want me, what I did wasn't her concern. What do you think?

    She said she didn't want to be with you so had no right to go off and be mad. Sometimes jealousy makes people act stupid and it's confusing. She may have liked you but been afraid of commitment but that's still no excuse for her behavior

    She should be more worried about making sure you have a clean house, clean laundry, and cooking your meals than anything else. Sounds like you have alot of work ahead of you to teach what her rightful place is.

    Thats fucked up. Maybe she didlike you but was playing hard to get. but still its not cool to play with a persons head like that. I would be pissed if i were you. And this is coming from a girsl perpective.

    Normally I would say that a when women like me say they want a break that does not mean that you can date other or do anything else. You have to have to officially break up as in dump or get dumped or agree to split for it not to be cheating time by oneself does not mean that you are not dating someone even if your not together at the time. However since you specifically asked her if you wanted to be official she had no business being angry. You asked her if she wanted a claim she said no thus she had no claim of you over that time your all set C:

    In England if you're seeing someone you're dating or whatever but not officially a couple. We were not a couple before I went to Africa which I was why the night before I left I wanted to ask her if she wanted to make it official.

    First, you're "with" her. Then, she tells you she doesn't want you and you meet a girl who wants you in Africa. You come back and your "girlfriend" is mad.
