Is it normal that my friends make me feel down?

Recently i went to one of my friends house we thought to take some crazy photos like us pretending to study...
next day we went to the school and there was an informal photoshoot since we are graduating from school and i called the camera man where my friends, some other class and school fellows we standing and told that friend to take a pretend study photo like we did last night... and she just bluntly said "No WAY!" and laughed as if i was an idiot or a fool infront of so many people... I didnt show her that i was mad after that... but then this got stuck in my head... i still remember how the rest of the people were trying not to laugh at me when she said that...
Was it just me or was she making me feel down cause the rest of my day was ruined...
Any advice?

I always feel like my friends are bringing me down. I think that maybe you were a little overdramatic, but I am also so I shouldn't be talking. Just tell her how she made you feel, if it really brought you down. Because you know, YOLO!

  • By some emotional armour. There's a trivial shitstorm making its way to you from your future. It never ends.

I'm like my mother.. When she was young her step siblings never liked her ... After she got married those emotional memories came back to haunt her and now she is very cranky at times... She gets angry at small things and she cant control her temper... :/

I agree with this comment to your question.
HOWEVER, it doesn't have to be that way for you forever!!!
But it WILL always remain this way for you if you continue to have irrational thoughts. Obsessing/over analyzing situations takes over your life. I would hope you wouldn't want things like this to have that much of your attention and energy. You will only be continuing to harm your future and any chance of a successful life in every aspect of it, if you continue living with a mind full with thought processes like that.
Just focus on each moment and live in the present time. With love, compassion and good intentions in your heart, you can change this.
Don't compare times(past experiences) with people even if it's the same person, to try to understand people by talking to them, straight up with an open heart. You never know what is going on inside them, their mind, their life. You may never know why a person reacts the way they do and definitely will not be able to understand all of their actions.
All you can do is just communicate with people. If people don't match up with the way they act to what they say, chances are they are lying and not trustable. You should then cut them out of your life and move on. Anyone who takes your thoughts off a positive current feeling and makes u concerned or insecure, get to the root and trim the fat.
Life is too short to worry a bout others and their thoughts, feelings or reasons for acting like blah, blah, blah.
      Get living!
That's my life motto. You got enough of your own thoughts and feeling to analyze, don't worry about other peoples. Let them do that. Guaranteed that you will find more peace and security if you can train yourself out of this bad habit and get a new point of view and fresh prospective.

Thank you so much... I'll always be grateful to you! you explained things so nicely. and yes i will definitely download the app... I do sometimes ignore these things but some times i cant take much coz things like this happen to me pretty much like every day when i am with my friends. i feel so unwanted at times ... but at other times they are so supportive and nice to me.

Sounds pretty mean, that probably would ruin my day as well. Best advice I can give is to just let it go, or bring it up next time you two are hanging out. But if you do bring it up then be prepared in case she insults you, and keep in mind you did want to know if she likes your or not.

I wouldn't get offended so easly.

She didn't want to take a picture, so what?
If it made you feel down then that's just because you let it go to your head and made something out of nothing.

If it's such a big deal, ask your friend if she had a bad intention behind that action.
