Ok before you get bored with this " love triangle" bs please listen.
My guy friend ( which i was planning on asking out lol yea FRIENDZONED! haha) So they have been dating quite a while and they both said that they loved each other and all that, but recently he texted me and really just spiled his heart out to me. Im really worried because my friend has depresion, cuts herself, and has tried to kill herself 4 times, and he and I are really the ones keepinp her from killing herself. Im scared he is going to ask me out, but he has depression to, so what am i supposed to say to them? Is it normal for him to do that?

    He seems confused. Also, attempting suicide 4 times shows she really doesn't want to die. She likes the idea of ending the depression without having to dig herself out of the hole herself. I don't think it's a good idea for you two to date, nor do I think they are stable enough to date. You have to focus on stabilizing yourself before you can bring someone else into your life.

      That's stereotypical rubbish: most people who end up killing themselves do quite a few "practice runs", ESPECIALLY IF PEOPLE DON'T TAKE THEIR ATTEMPTS SERIOUSLY.

      That's akin to the old myth that people who threaten suicide never do it - not true!

      Your ignorance is dangerous, I'd suggest that in future you actually research serious issues like suicide before spreading your misinformed views

    Getting involved with him at this time is like throwing petrol on a smouldering fire: it may blow up in your face, or his, or your depressed suicidal friend.

    It'd be better to concentrate on getting her some real support rather than even briefly contemplating making a bad situation worse.

    Im not depressed, my friend is. Im worried that he may ask someone else out and break up With her. Shes very sensitive and will start cutting more than usual and may try to kill herself again. What can i do about this?
