Is it normal that my friend would do this?

Okay, well I had this friend throughout high school. I was basically her only friend because others found her utterly obnoxious, but I found it wrong because of how she is treated in her home life, and no one stopped to think of that. Anyways simply, I am dying. I am 18 and I am lucky to make it to 25. I told her my news, obviously very disturbed and upset, she pretended to care. Then later on find a twitter post stating that telling her a pity story didn't gain me any sympathy, but just made me more annoying. Me being me, I confronted her. She continues to this day to talk about me, calling me incredibly obscure names. This being two months after graduation, and four months after I asked her, with no reply and getting deleted from everything. I don't find this to be right or normal. I think if someone had a problem with me telling them something very personal it should be confronted.

If she's going to act like an insensitive bitch to your problems then she isn't a real friend. You deserve better treatment than that. I can understand that she has a tough life but that doesn't give her the right to make everyone else miserable.

That is quite mean of her. No gratitude. I think you should confront her face to face and if she doesn't listen to you, grab her wrist or something and say that we have to talk this through in a firm voice. I think it's probably because of popularity or something though. Good luck!

Maybe she's just reacting strongly to the possibility of you leaving her and doesn't want to believe it? I mean, that doesn't excuse her behavior at all but you were her only friend, and with you gone, there's nobody and she doesn't want to lose that. Try to talk to her in person and confront her about this.

You really want to be friends with her? You sound like a nice person and I'm sure you have a lot of friends, so why not just leave her alone?
