Is it normal that my friend likes it when i beat him?

i am a 22 yr old female and i have a male friend the same age. he lets me punch him in the face. i gave him a black eye just last night and i busted his nose the other day. with blood running everywhere and im laughing. he doesnt care. and just last night after i punched him i water boarded him. i let him up after spraying him about 6 times, then he threw up. all the while im laughing and recording it. we have also cut each other. is this a normal friendship. (im thinking no)

    Normal? No. Awesome? Yes. If you're both ok with it and you both enjoy it I say put a ring on his finger and call it a day.

    I would love to have a friend like that! I always feel like I need to hurt someone. Sadly this is often me hurting myself because I like everyone around me too much. It would be cool to have a friend who would let me do that. Anyways go easy on him.

    Thats friendship. I have heard of people harmnig each other for a sense of control. But it sounds to me like you two trust and like each other so much that you're both comfortable harming each other. I would asume you're best friends? and maby even consider being partners? On the other hand this could be a form of self punishment. If in a depressive state, these actions could be seen as forgivness. For what i dont know but still, harming in exchange and as punishment for something they feel guilt and/or are frustrated with. I would like to think its the trusting friend thing though. You know you're friends if you can forgive physical pain. You're even better friends if you can forgive phycological pain. I'll never understand why people frown apon this.

      yes, i think we both trust each other. and we are best friends. but we are also both a little mentally ill. i think its cool that he is a masochist and im sadist. it works out pretty well for our friendship lol. its a good way to relieve stress for the both of us, and it makes our friendship stronger. even though it sounds weird. thanks for the comment.
