Is it normal that my foot is doing this?

For a while I've had this weird little pain in the side of my foot below my pinky toe, I've never really paid much mind to it, but just the other day I twisted it (?) or something and it instantly shot pain throughout my foot, this has happened once before. The pain goes from the (my left foot) outer side of my foot or 5th metatarsal I guess, to up in the middle of my foot, it doesn't hurt or effect my arch, toes or heel. the pain cuts off from the front end of my heel to the ball of my foot. Its not swollen or red, it just kills to walk on, put pressure on or to bend. It doesn't hurt when I'm sitting, but does hurt a little when I go to sleep. I'm not sure what it is, all I know it could be is a stress fracture, or plantar fisciitis. but it doesn't really fit most of the symptoms...is it normal? (well its obviously not normal, but is it something to normally be wrong?)

Go to a foot doctor soon, very soon. To me it sounds like a pinched nerve or something wrong with the muscles in your foot. I've had excruciating pain in my arch from pointing it in a certain position. That pain is almost divi kitting. There have been times where I have barely been able to walk and the pain for almost an hour or so.

Only a doctor could tell you what's happening for sure, but it sounds as if you have a pinched nerve.
