Is it normal that my fiance is backing down on wedding plans?

Ok, so, I've been engaged for about a month to a guy I've been dating for about six years. We talked about getting married next March and having a relatively small wedding (broke broke broke!!!). He was ok with this until I said I wanted to get pregnant soon (I'm in my early 30's). Now, he's saying he doesn't want to get married until AFTER we have our credit cards fully paid off and are in possession of a house! Cold feet, or normal, or both? P.S. I kinda told him I was sick of waiting around for the proposal, and he wouldn't let me do it, so he did it even though I think he was fine with just dating me forever.

    Kids shortly after marriage. Bills will never be paid in full, that's life! And being a woman in my 30s, I don't have that much time left!

    Same thing happened to me lol but we didn't actually have a date set yet. I think you should ask yourself if realistically you guys are in the position (financially, etc...) to have a child right now. If it's something that isn't going to happen right away anyway, then why even talk about it/push for it? If you know he does want to have children then just let it go for now. That's what's stressing him out. It's normal that he wants to feel prepared for it. As soon as I stopped nagging about it, things were fine again.

    I understand the desire to have children but if you're picking the right time to do it, the time isn't now. Your honey is concerned with the finances, a baby will only make it harder. Yes, people almost always find a way to make it work but why do you want children now? It is possible that he is more concerned with the child aspect of marriage rather than the marriage itself. Unless you guys are cool with the idea of unmarried couples having babies as a plan.

    He prolly freaked out about how much it's going to cost having a kid. You will be lucky to ever get married now that you told him you want to get pregnant!
