Is it normal that my face is darker than the rest of my body?

Recently I've noticed that my face seems to be a couple of skin tones darker than the rest of my body xD It doesn't really bother me because it doesn't show too much, but I was wondering if it was normal and if other people were like that too? I have veeery light acne, I never used fake tan of any sort.. Last summer I bleached my face by rubbing lemon on it (it actually worked, but I don't think the two could be related xD).. So yeh. IIN? :o I do expose my body to the sun, my face just seems to always turn out darker lol.

You mean you have a tan. On your face. That's probably because you wear clothes.

Did you read the last sentence of my post? My arms and legs are as exposed to the sun as my face, and yet they're still paler.

It could be hyperpigmentation. If you natrually have tan skin or darker skin its more common.

You get more sun on your face than any other part of your body, makes sense that it would be a little darker!

It could be the lemon. I once used it, because I had a whitehead and all the adults were "bullying" me about it. So, I used it and it worked, but my mother got angry at me and said it was burned off my face. She that lemon damages the skin.
Severe acne can cause discolouration. In the warmer climates that occur in summer, it would be best to use Aloe Vera (a natural sunscreen) and even a hat to block off some of the suns rays.

That was last summer though, I don't think the lemon has anything to do with the current color of my skin xD

      Sunscreen doesn't block tans.

          • maybe you have not got the right stuff or you are not consistant in using it, zinc is impenetrable but thick and white so go for the invisible zinc, use it every day and over time your face will fade, if you are brown skinned it will only go so far of course

It's really good for your skin actually :O Natural way to treat acne (although it may burn to have acid on pimples xD), and it lightens it too.

An easy painless way I like is a daily pore cleanser which also gets rid of acne. It isn't an immediate remedy but it does its job and more. (Smells awesome!)

Unless you wear a ski mask, your face is always in the sun (when you are outside anyway).
