Is it normal that my face is always red?

Like i could understand this if it was like some chubby kid asking, but im Really skinny with a very thin face and my face always seems red and warm. I admit i have some acne, could this be causing it? It gets annoying because sometimes i can even see where its a little clear around my eyes and not so red so it looks like ive been tanning with goggles on but the rest of my face is red instead of tan. Also i get embarassed very easily, could that be another reason? I get so embarrassed even if like a random person says hello my face turns bright ass red and i can even feel it warm up. Is this normal and is there anything i can do to stop this?

Sounds like rosacea. Acne can go with it, too. It's often brought on by situations that make you blush, spicy food, heat, etc. If you're really concerned, doctor can give creams/antibiotics (not sure why antibiotics, but apparently there's a certain one that's meant to help - personally, I couldn't be bothered with an oral antibiotic but i do use antibiotic cream now and then) if you're really concerned/embarrassed by it

It seems like you have rosacea. I had this problem and my dermatologist corrected it with v beam laser treatments. I know that creams are also commonly prescribed but I am not sure as to how well they work. See a doctor to get diagnosed, and to make sure there is not something else going on.

Sounds just like me, I also used to be prone to 'very rosy cheeks' - my face getting red all the time. It took me years to learn that the cause was dairy. When I cut it out of my life, I noticed a huge difference. Of course my face still gets red when I am hot, cold or embarassed - but much less so than before. I would seriously consider looking into how your body is reacting to different foods, because allergies/intolerances can manifest in strange ways. Try different things in pure form on an empty stomach (first thing in the morning is good) and see if your face feels hot when you injest them. Start with common allergens that are found in many things that you eat all the time like soy, eggs & dairy (i.e. it's probably not caused by something like peanuts, because they're not in everything). Good luck!

  • Heey, I have the same problem, yeah it's normal, but it will never go away... You're just going to have to get used to it s:

  • It might be rosacea. You might want to go to a dermatologist and they can probably figure out what's causing it and give you some medication to reduce redness. You might also just have very pink coloring. If you are a girl you may want to try using a more yellow-toned foundation and it will help to give a more "normal" skin tone.

Try washing your face with oatmeal, it helps. Reduce redness!

Definetly go to a dermatologist. If you are a girl wear makeup like foundation.

You might have rosacea. It's not really a big deal, but it is still a medical problem that you should go to your dermatologist to check out. Your doctor will probably perscribe you to some type of foam or topical creme or something of the sorts, and it will probably go away. If the redness hurts and is irritating, it might be plaque psoriasis, and you would definately need to call up your local dermatologist soon for treatment options.

I agree with andrina and charli. Check it with a dermatologist.
