I think it's not normal. Nationalism, and fundamentalism are tools to destroy mankind.
I'd like quote from a proper man.
"imagine there's no countries,
it isn't hard to do,
nothing to kill or die for,
no religion too,
imagine all the people
living life in peace..."
But also, lack of patriotism destroyed Rome. The citizens no longer cared for the good of the country but only the currency. They were traitors and could easily be bought by the enemy. This is why we should have at least some loyalty.
This is the stupidest thing i have ever heard!
If lack of patriotism collapses empires as Rome, than it's good we need to follow!
Don't forget, the nature never excepts any lacks of force. There is always resistance. There is a force it means there must be another force against it in returns.
Remember how Ottomans occupied the East-Rome, and Hungarians did the same for the West one!
Sorry man. I agree to disagree. Proud to be a new American citizen. So many places are way worst than the Americans think theirs is. Things were worst in my homeland than here, yet Americans hate America. You can have my land and I will take yours. Fair trade. You don't like it and I do.
Typical stereotype of patriots but far tron the truth. Many people on here use stereotypes to make their point and I'm sorry, but it's stupid. I'm a redneck because I appreciate America making me one of it's citizens after so much abuse in the Dominican Republic? There are many people from my land who wish to be me and I can tell you, we're not an island of rednecks, as you call patriots.
To be honest, this isn't normal. But it should be! Patriotism is something that made this country what it is and we should all be proud of that.
Every time I hear the national anthem it reminds me what a failed shithole of a nation I live in, and that makes be sad.
But then just before tears come out, cognitive dissonance sets in and I'm like "'MURICA!"
Mine do too, OP. it's normal if you're a patriot, unlike these other fucks.
