Is it normal that my ex-girlfriend appears in my dreams?

She's not really my ex-girlfriend, but this girl and I have had a really complicated on-and-off friendship/relationship for the last 2 years with. I don't always remember my dreams but when I do dream she often shows up. I see her everyday at school until the summer comes, where we probably wont see one another, maybe ever again (university in the fall.) Im pretty sure I'm over her but I do still sometimes feel anger towards her, like I was cheated, and other times Im happy just being her friend. What gives? I wish so I could dream without her always being on my sub-conscious mind.

    thats because you still have emotions attached to her im not telling its love or whatever ... see my best friend betrayed me and its been a year since i have not seen her nor talked to her but i have often see her in my dreams and in my dreams i see that i have become friends with her again !

    Sounds like your ambivalence towards her is playing itself out in your dream. It's normal when you try to deal with a situation and find closure.

    It's normal for anyone you've ever seen or made contact with in your entire life to be in your dreams. So yes, having dreams about your "ex-"girlfriend is entirely normal. Your sub-conscience mind may still desire her while your conscience mind tries to convince you that you do not

      Dang, how'd you know? Yup. Got friend-zoned and lead on. We didn't talk for 6 months after that, and then her sister died and we started talking again and I went to the funeral to support her. We used to be great friends, but now it seems like we're acquaintances.

        It will be easier if you stop seeing her by the way. Terminate your contact and cut the chord man. You aren't doing yourself any favors if you keep chasing after her, trust me. Nothing will change either. She's not going to come around eventually and see what a nice guy you are or some BS like that. There are much better girls out there, and ones that will actually treat you right and not just use you for things you have or do for them. She's taking advantage of you man, you need to realize this and do something about it. Just don't kill her though, okay?
