Is it normal that my dream always stop at a certain point

When I was younger I used to have dreams of kissing someone. French kissing. But I've never done that before back then. So when I had a dream of kissing someone I woke up right before it happened.
Now whenever I dream of kissing someone, the dream doesn't stop at that point. Maybe it's because I know what it's like to kiss/be kissed now?

The same thing still happens to me.. but in another scenario. I'm a virgin and whenever I have a dream of sleeping with someone, I wake up right before the act.
Is that normal? And why does that happen?
