Is it normal that my dead grandmother sends birthday cards to me?

My grandmother died when I was 6. Before she died she bought stacks of birthday cards for me and my sister, and wrote "Angel Kisses" on each one. She put notes on each card so that my Grandpa would know when to send each one to me on her behalf. I always thought my grandmother loved me very much. What do you think?

Your grandma was uniquely forward-thinking. Most modern degenerates would have spent the money on hedonistic pursuits.

Reminds me of this story about a man who, before his own death, ordered a flower delivery service to deliver a bouquet to his wife on her birthday, each year. Without her knowledge.

She must have been scared shitless the first time she received flowers from her dead partner.

Maybe the cards are clues in a mystery.

Unusual but OK. How could your father disinherit his own father????

    • He told him that he could never talk to any of us, or see us again. (He has a long history of hating his own father.)

Disinheriting means removing someone as a beneficiary of a will. Why does he hate his father so much?

        • His father is a nice man. There is no explanation that makes sense. He tries to exert power and influence on his Dad in emotional ways, but his father is a very rational scientific type, and is not influenced by any of it. This leaves him loathing his father and wanting to punish him. His Father thinks he is narcissistic.

It's absolutely adorable what your grandma did. <3

            • Thank you. He's not religious, but he is very self-righteous.

  • She was partly helping my Grandpa to remember my birthdays. And, trying to keep my Dad from disinheriting him. (My Dad is very nasty.)
