My dad has always been pretty over protective. I am now 17 and I finally have a serious boyfriend. We've been dating for some time now but my dad thinks we're still friends. My dad has met him and everything but I'm just too scared to tell him? Is it normal to keep it from him? Should I just tell him? And how?

    What are you afraid your dad would do if he knew you had a boyfriend? Would he stop you from seeing him?

    Never tell your dad. Dads are usually funny about their Daughters boyfriends, cos they know the boy only wants one thing, the same thing as the reason why your even here in the first place.

    You should tell your dad that he is your bf and not just a friend. Finding out you are gay will be a bit of a shock at first so don't judge the old man too harshly if he doesn't react well.
