Is it normal that my dad said this?

One time I was sitting in the living room with my parents. I told my mom about this picture of a raccoon I saw, it was poking its head up and smiling like it was saying "hi!" She laughed, and my dad was asleep then he woke up briefly and said "aw, goosie gander." LOL it was so random, I don't know why a raccoon made him think of a goose. Is it normal to say such random things?

    Reminds me of the phrase: "What's good for the goose is good for the gander." Or is it: "What's good for the gander is good for the goose?"

    I have no idea. I'd say it's normal though. :3

    Lol we actually have a cat named Gracie, she is gray and we call her "Gray Goose." But still I don't know why a raccoon made my dad think of her lol

    No. That is certainly not normal. There is a severe medical problem called SRD , or speech ridiculousness disorder. Many have been hospitalized because of it, and a few have died. All of the cases started this way. Please get your father checked out.
