Is it normal that my dad said he would give me a hiding when..?

Well i was about 12 and was in the fun run which is a competition of running around the school (one lap by the way), i would always try my hardest to the point where i would almost fall over from feeling sick at the end of the race. Well anyways my dad threatened to give me a hiding if i was to come 1st place :O apparently its because he didn't want me to exhaust myself, but don't you think that's a bit over the top?

      yeah im 18 now and we were talking about something rather in the car and some how we got onto the top of that time when i had the competition , he said speciflicly :hiding" i thought wtf, then i kind of remembered that..maybe he used wrong word though as i don't recall him "beating" me just smacking.. there was only once i think when he went overboard.

        Even if he wasn't going to physically hurt you, telling a kid that you're going to punish them if they don't win is pretty fucked up.

    Sounds like he secretly wanted you to defy him and win the race, so he could spank you on the ass.
    Ask him directly if all he wanted was to touch your ass.

    If it's true, then kick him direct to his balls a few times as hard as you can.

      sure was!! i was stubborn as shit! but still i reckon he shouldn't threaten such a thing when the race was meant to be funn even if he was worried that i might faint or something...
