My dad gives boughten water to the plants and gives our pet dogs tap water. When my mom asked why he didn't give the dogs boughten water he says that he likes the plants better then the dogs. Is that normal?
Yeah, plants don't scratch up your furniture, piss on your floors, eat the food off your plate when you leave the table for 2 FUCKING MINUTES, 2 FUCKING MINUTES!!! bite you, make your house smell like shit or make noise at all hours of the night for no damned reason.
Some plants don't do well with city water or water with too much of certain minerals in it. Dogs don't seem to have that problem!
Some people prefer pets, some plants. I have plenty of both: )
Maybe he sees the plants as as more of a pet then the animals because unlike animals, the plants are easier to take care of and are less trouble.
in a sense yeah...but some plants need bottled water (my orchid has boiled water that's cooled down) Some dogs tend to prefer rain water to the tap stuff
To some people, plants are their pride and joy. Periodically, I get the urge to tenderly care for my botany using my mighty green thumb and "special methods". It always depends on the plants and specific needs. I'm curious, who do the pets belong to? Did your mom buy them or him? He may feel that the pets are you and your mom's and therefore your responsibility. To him, his plants are his responsibility. If you're upset about them getting tap either buy a water filter or purified spring water for them.
Maybe he was kidding. Maybe he bought the plants better water since they would get ill from the tap water.
If you are in a city, you need to be drinking DISTILLED "boughten" water. Off topic but idgaf.

Try using the water - some bricks and a plastic bag to drown the dogs - then post it on YouTube - WIN !
