Is it normal that my dad kisses me on the neck?

My dad has kissed me on the neck several times. The first few times, I told him I didn't like it, and he became defensive, told me I was overreacting. The last time he did it, we were in public (with my mom right there) and I said, "Dad, that is something husbands and wives do. Don't do it again." I don't know if I'm overreacting. But he has gotten physically aggressive before, when I refuse to pay him attention (he restrains me and pushes me into corners and intimidates me) but can I add the kissing to the list of abuses, or is it inconsequential?

Holy shit....Call child services. I think it can count as sexual harassment. If you want to protect yourself and prevent yourself from possibly getting raped in the near future then I suggest you do it. Don't be affraid because this poor excuse for a father can traumtize you for life. AND WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR MOM DOING ABOUT THIS? Oh god don't end up like Precious.

    Tell your Mom.

If she tries to defend him explain that it doesn't matter if he thinks it's innocent. Tell her it's making YOU feel sexual.

and if that doesn't work call CPS

That sucks. If you can stay at a friends house, do it. Get away from those two. There's something wrong with both of them.

GET OUT!!! That is not safe and NOT normal. You really need to contact someone or get out of the house. It is a very scary situation that shouldn't be taken lightly. And if your mother isn't doing anything to help you, then my vote is you need to get out NOW.

uhhhhm.. what do you mean by "the list of abuses"... THAT SOUNDS SUPER WRONG!! IF THERE'S A LIST YOU NEED TO GTFOUTTA THERE!!

  • Not normal. Sort the problem out before it leads to something 10X worse. This might not happen, but him raping you is something that this could lead up to.

I agree with SubParPhalus, you need to call the hotline.

    That is NOT NORMAL..

Go to a trusting friend or teacher & tell them what is going on. If you unsatisfied with there help ten social services or the police will be the last line for defence.

Its going to be very difficult for you to leave the family but it needs to be done for your protection
(This means no more abuses, arguing, fighting, restrains, cornering, intimidate etc.)
You need to contact social services. or visit your local police station & tell them you been abused by your father.

I pray for a wish for you & other children to take this advice. Best wishes.

If you don't get help now then when will you. The wors it gets the harder it will be to go for help and the wors the consequevses will be for all. If you give into him now then he will think that you accept what he is doing.

Well in my culture families kiss eachother on the cheek all the time. A few times they'll miss and kiss you on the neck. So several times doesn't seem like such a big deal.
