Is it normal that my coworker was checking me out?

I was at work the other day and I was getting ready to leave when one of my coworkers started talking with me. He's married and 20 years older then me. I was wearing a tight shirt that day and I realized that as I was talking to him he was just staring at my boobs. I started to feel uncomfortable and ended the conversation. As I left, his hand brushed slightly on my butt. I just want to know how I should handle this situation and if I should say something to him.

It's normal that he would find you attractive. He should have tried hard to repress his urges and look you in the eye instead of staring at your breasts, and touching your butt was completely inappropriate.

If you can, I suggest you talk to him. Tell him that it makes you uncomfortable if he touches you or looks at your breasts. Tell him how important it is to you to maintain a professional relationship and to feel like you're respected the same way as male colleagues.

If he responds poorly, or you just can't handle doing that, then you might wait and see if he does anything more, and if so, complain to HR or his manager.

I'm sorry that you feel uncomfortable. He needs to respect your personal space. We've seen far too many cases in the news lately of women experiencing sexual harassment at work, and you shouldn't have to be treated like that.

Go to your boss, and chat privately with them about your coworker. Tell them how uncomfortable you feel around him and just be honest. The truth should get your coworker sacked for unprofessional behaviour.

  • If he does it again embarrass him, by asking, why do you keep staring at my breasts. Have I spilled something on my top? If there are others around make sure you say it loud enough that they hear.

Sexual harasment is offensive and unnecessary, but it is better to nip it in the bud yourself if possible rather than go down official channels. Dealing with it this way will probably embarass him and hence cure him, obviously if it does still continue you will need to take things further.

sounds like you are bragging to everyone you can turn and old guy on. its doesn't make you special. i had a gal that would give me titty pokes in my shoulder as i sat in a chair. she was your age too. I handle it by ignoring her stupid childish advances. i mean god we were at work , did she expect me to pull out my cock or somthing? then i went to see her in her hospital room after the birth of her baby with other co-workers , I was first in and the last to leave , she just had to kick those sheets up before i got out to show me her snatch. i how did i handle it? i just ignored it .
