Is it normal that my classmate call me a faker/copier

So this day I asked my classmate where did he buy his sleek shoes from. He didnt say exactly what shop ,but he did say from what mall did he buy them. For a second I saw the company's name. So some days later I went to the mall and visitet different shops. I also visited the shop that my classmate bought the shoes from. So there were the nicest and cheapest shoes. I bought them. So I sent a pic to a friend of mine and he was like damn they on point. Some days later that picture pops up in our class chat. So my classmate changed the group name to "#myname the faker" and ofcourse I was embarrassed and sad. So I wanna know, am I a faker/copier?
